Andrew Roberts Barnett Waddingham SIPP SSAS E

Details of our next talk, on 22 March, are set out below.  To book in, please email Tracy O’Connell office@iil.org.uk

Topic: 9 things that are rocking my pension world in 2013

Speaker: Andrew Roberts – Barnett Waddingham LLP

Timing: 12 for 12.30pm  Close at 2 pm

Venue: Deutsche Bank offices, Liver Building, Pier Head, Liverpool L3 1NY

We are delighted to welcome Andrew Roberts, who is a Partner at local pension firm Barnett Waddingham and Chairman of the Association of Member-directed Pension Schemes.  Andrew will be giving his thoughts on nine current pension topics relevant to those who deal with SSASs and SIPPs.

Andrew joined the industry in 1996 and has worked almost exclusively with SSASs and SIPPs and has also majored on Lifetime Allowance planning.  In 2011 Andrew was appointed as Chairman of AMPS and has spent the last three months engaging with the SIPP industry regarding the FSA’s plans to increase the capital required to act as a SIPP operator.

Andrew also championed the campaign to bring back the old drawdown rules, with a bit of help from the Mail On Sunday.

Andrew promises to deliver a graphically engaging presentation, and is limiting his talk to nine items of five minutes each to fit the 45 minute slot (and he couldn’t think of a tenth item).

  1. Sorry – committee decided to postpone this until 5 April due to worried that weather would make it awkward for people to attend. See you soon.
